Self-Service Order Editing gives you complete control and the ability to instantly rescue an order if customer details are incorrect. We've eliminated the friction of manual requests, ensuring your orders move smoothly through fulfilment after a brief sync.

Can now:

  • Rescue the Order: Instantly correct critical customer details like shipping address, phone number, and tax information to ensure the order gets delivered on time, every time.

  • Get Instant Eligibility Status: A clear "Edit Order" button will be enabled for unshipped orders and automatically disabled once the order ships. You always know when you can intervene to help your customer.

  • See Changes Before You Submit: Review a comprehensive preview of all your modifications before the final submission, ensuring accuracy and preventing accidental updates that could delay delivery.

  • Receive Final Status Notifications: No more guessing! You'll receive a quick bell notification for the final status. This instant notification lets you reassure your customer as soon as the edit is confirmed.

How it Works

The moment you submit an edit, Portless works to initiate the change and lock it into our fulfillment network.

  1. Initiate Edit: You make your changes and click submit. The request is processed immediately.

  2. Pending Status: The order briefly shows a "Pending" status while the system syncs with fulfilment partners.

  3. Final Confirmation: Within 5 minutes, you will receive a notification:

    • Success! Your changes are confirmed and updated everywhere.

    • Denied. The change could not be made (e.g., the order has already been shipped).
